The Merc with a Mouth

Anyway, not sure how many people watching me read any Marvel comics (I'm only aware of a handful that do) but this character's name is Deadpool, and he's a snarky mercenary and quite possibly the best thing Rob Liefeld has ever given the Marvel comics universe, and that includes the hilariously bad footless characters and Capt. America with a big bosom [link] (cubism maybe? )

If you weren't aware, I'm quite fond of this character. They need to get Fabian Nicieza or even Mark Sumerak on it (met him at a convention and checked out a small bit he did with the character and quite liked it) but the HACK HACK HACK (excuse me, terrible cough!) dude they got writing now, Daniel Way, just can't write the character worth beans and has made some EXRTREEEEEMELY annoying and unnecessary changes to the character. Deadpool, written correctly, is supposed to be like Spiderman if Spiderman had no qualms about blasting people and knew he was in a comic, and replaces the teenage angst with mild (that is, mild!) dementia.
If you want a good example of the character, Deadpool Vs. The Marvel Universe, Cable and Deadpool and Deadpoo-GLI Summer Fun Spectacular are a good place to check it out, heck even the classic issues with Liefeld's awful art are better than the crap Way is churning out. Daniel Way writes Deadpool as Nick describes it: " A blithering idiot that couldn't tie his own shoes without blowing his own arm off". I could complain in detail, but I'll spare you for now ^_^
